We're currently hiring interns for editorial, marketing, event planning, photography and sales. If you've got a background in journalism, marketing, promotions and photography then we want to hear from you! Positions come with a chance for you to grow and expand your resume. Internships are unpaid, however if can lead to a position with ONETEN Magazine. We prefer candidates, who are currently enrolled in a two or four year college, But if you have the drive, the grind and willing and ready to put in work and have the talent we are looking for. Then we want to talk to you! Internship will last anywhere from 6-12 months. EditorialApplicants for editorial internships should have a background in creative writing, journalism, or online publishing. Editorial interns will assist with the research and writing of news stories, interviews, album reviews, and/or important event coverage. It's possible interns may receive press passes to events and participate in phone or in-person interviews with Hip Hop artists, actors, athletes, models, or other cultural personalities. Marketing & PromotionsApplicants for marketing internships should be outgoing, adventurous, and sociable. Marketing interns are often relied on to interact with the public at major Hip Hop events and represent the HipHopDX brand at concerts, festivals, and industry conventions. General responsibilities include creating visibility for the brand, website, and social media properties and distributing marketing materials including t-shirts, stickers, mixtapes, and banners etc. Advertising SalesThe Advertising Sales internship position at ONETEN Magazine is an opportunity for the right candidate to receive experience in publishing, advertising sales and get an overview of the design and production cycles. This position does not come with a salary but does with a commission base reward. You will get 5% of every sale you bring in and help close. College credit may also be available. This position is for a self-starter with a positive attitude, strong oral and written communications skills, and willing to step outside your comfort zone.
